San Diego State University Health Psych Project – Description
Part 3: Infographic
In the third part of the project, you will create an infographic (informational graphic) that reports on
your intervention proposal and explains how the intervention can increase the use of this health
behavior for the target population. Follow the instructions below:
a. Using the article information, health belief theories, and intervention that you outlined in Part
2, you will make an infographic that informs of this health-related problem and argues for the
use of your proposed intervention.
b. The infographic can take any form. What matters more is that you create an infographic that
includes the components listed in the grading rubric below.
i. The infographic should be informative and accurate, but also audio/visually
interesting. There are a few options:
1. Create a graphic ad using a program like Canva, Adobe, or PowerPoint.
2. Create a three-minute maximum video presentation (VoiceThread, Zoom
Recording, etc.).
3. Create a PowerPoint presentation with 5-10 slides.
4. Create and record a three-minute maximum audio recording (VoiceThread,
Zoom, etc.).
c. Once you’ve finished the assignment, submit your Part 3 infographic to the Assignments tab on
D2L by the due date.
d. For reference, an infographic can look like this one (please note, this is just to show how the
infographic can be organized. This particular example does not display information about health
behaviors or propose an intervention):

population. Be sure to include an explanation on the model you listed in part 2 and
apply this model to explain why the health behavior is underutilized in the target
population.
3. Propose your idea for a behavior change intervention in targeting the health behavior.
Describe the strategies you will use in the intervention and explain how these strategies
would increase the health behavior (by explaining the theoretical framework that these
strategies come from).
*The ultimate goal of this infographic is to inform your audience (“NIH directors”) of this health

intervention to address this problem. This theme should come across in your assignment.
