Most employees do not really have a good understanding of the many functions that the Human Resource (HR) department facilitate.  In order for a company to be successful, it is imperative that the HR section operates at the optimal level. Compensation and Benefits, Onboarding, and Compliance are a few of the responsibilities of the HR dept.  There is no single area within HR that is more important than another.  All the components must work synergistically in order to be effective and be a value-added asset to the company.  The manner in which your organization is set up is crucial to its success.  The criteria for how the organization is constructed is based on a variety of criteria such mission, core competencies, and available resources just to name a few.  A function of human resources is to ensure that the workforce is properly trained in order to adequately support a company involved in global trade.  Globalization has allowed business between countries to grow at an ever-increasing rate.
