ASU Marketing Question – Description

1. A client informs public relations agency of new experience on-property that is set to debut on November 24 and asks agency to draft a press release to announce the all-new experience.

Write a press release from the information provided toannounce the launch of Winter’s Village at Green Valley Ranch Resort (pretending it hasn’t already passed) in a separate clean Word document. Remember to use Associated Press style. Use as much information as you think necessary to create an effective release. Add phrases and transitions to make the press release acceptable to editors.

Please use the following steps to format the release:

– On the top left-hand side of the page, write “FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE” in bold-faced CAPS and use an Arial 12-point font.

– Hit the enter-key twice again, and type in your headline, center and bold-face your headline, in CAPS and use an Arial 14-point font.

– Go down two spaces again, and aligned left, add the dateline “CITY (Month Date, Year) – ” bold-faced using an Arial 12-point font, followed by the body of the release using a non-bold Arial 12-point font in sentence case.

Please include the following facts in the release:

– Winter’s Village at Green Valley Ranch Resort

– November 24, 2018 to January 7, 2019

– Featuring an ice rink with real ice, holiday treats, Saturdays with Santa, and a holiday lounge area.

– 60 decorated trees, 6,000 square-foot rink with real ice and views of the Las Vegas skyline.

– Enjoy hot cocoa, warm apple cider, and 12 cocktails of Christmas.

– Plus, polar bear pretzels, wonderland cupcakes, snowy cake pops, and fire pit s’mores.

– A portion of the proceeds from Winter’s Village will be donated to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.

– Entry is free to the village.

– $20 per person for ice skate rental.

– Hours of Operations include Monday – Thursday: 4pm – 9pm; Friday: 4pm – 10pm; Saturdays: 11am – 10pm; Sundays: 11am – 9pm
