ARU Drug Addiction Discussion – Description

Hi everyone,
Yes, I do know of people who have abused and are still abusing psychoactive substances. It’s definitely hard to see people you care about go through this kind of thing. All you can do is try to be here, pray for them, help them get clean and stay clean. But there are some who just become so addicted and dependent on these substances or even pharmaceuticals that they are so far gone it’s difficult to bring them back. I do believe that some doctors nowadays just prescribe medications because they are in cahoots with the pharmaceutical companies, so they also get a paycheck with every prescription given. How can I help someone become nondependent I think I can do my own research or even do research with that person to become educated on what their doctor may be prescribing. To learn the side effects, the long-term effects and damages it can cause to your body or even your mental state. I can also direct them to Therapy with a psychiatrist who specializes on helping people without prescribing medication. I know firsthand that therapy really does work, but you need to be truthful and give it your 100% to help yourself get better.
With the not so new drug Lean and Tranq Dope I think the best thing we can do as a society is talk about what is going on and educate our children about the drug abuse happening all around. I also think if you use to be a drug abuser or know someone who is/was we should be truthful and talk about the experiences had. Our children may have a better understanding in the consequences that may occur, and long-term effects of these drugs can cause especially doing so at such a young age. We can’t hide this from them or try to keep them away but as long as we keep them aware and educated,I think most children will be smart enough not following the crowd, to be proud enough to say NO TO DRUGS!
