Details
You should identify a patient that you have worked with and prepare a case study document that outlines relevant subjective and objective details plus information on the management approaches used. The same case will be used as a basis for both the presentation and poster assessment tasks. The case study itself will not be directly assessed but will be used by the assessor as contextual information.
Your presentation should consider an aspect of assessment and/or management which allows you to demonstrate the achievement of the module learning outcomes. Your presentation should be developed and discussed with a professional audience in mind for example a professional conference or special interest group meeting. There is no limit on the number of slides presented however you should consider the best use of graphics, tables and text to effectively communicate your information within the time limit
You will be required to identify which learning outcomes are specifically demonstrated by each component of the assessment (presentation/ poster). Guidance and examples within the module will help you identify appropriate subject areas. Your work should demonstrate your clinical reasoning skills in respect to holistic patient management.
Your presentation must be referenced following the University of Salford referencing guidelines APA 7 th edition and an additional reference list must be submitted (i.e. on separate document in addition to a list included at the end of your powerpoint slides).
Please Note- students are not permitted to produce work on the same practice area that they used in the Research in Physiotherapy Practice Module. More guidance on selecting a suitable subject area will be provided within the module.
