I have selected Trauma Provider’s Knowledge, Views, and Practice of Trauma-Informed Care. The purpose of this study was to examine healthcare provider knowledge, attitudes, practices, competence, and perceived barriers to the implementation of TIC (Bruce et al, 2018).
Which is the research design used by the author?
The purpose of this study is to examine health care providers’ knowledge, attitudes, practices, competence and perceived barriers to the implementation of Trauma Informed Care (TIC), based on their years of experience providing care to trauma patients. Based on my readings, I considered it to be a one-sample research design.
Why did the authors use the t-test?
By using a one-sample t test, it is possible to test whether the mean of a particular variable differs from a specified value. This test will determine whether that difference is statistically significant (Wagner, 2020). According to the study, it deemed the t-test appropriate.
