Think about how you engage with literacies throughout a typical day. Create a photo journal (or a sequence of photos) from a single day in your life. Take 15-20 photos throughout the day, capturing the ways in which you READ THE WORLD (as discussed in Video 1 and Freire & Macedo Ch 1). This might be a picture of a street sign you see as you’re walking to class, the varying plants in your neighborhood as the season changes, your computer screen as you’re signing up for classes, an open sign on a door, a sticky note with a reminder, etc.
For each photo, write a short caption (~50-75 words) that describes how you’re able to read the world in the image. Include a date and time stamp of when you took the photo.
