Write a 15-page historiographical/historical term research paper on the specific historical/historiographical issue/controversy in diplomatic or military history as outlined in your prospectus and agreed upon between the student and the instructor. If a historiography paper, you need to succinctly and comprehensively identify the major historiographical interpretations that that’ emerged over time (accurately placing them in their correct chronological sequence) and offer possible explanations for the specific ways historical interpretation of your research agenda have: evolved over time. You may take one of the historiographical controversies discussed in seminar: as your focus or propose in your prospect your own specific focus of study. If addressing a specific historical research question, you will want to present a well-researched and supported (with pertinent evidence) interpretation of your research question. You should provide a specific answer to your thesis (unless unable to reach a concrete answer, in which case, present the most likely answers and the evidence and reasoning behind your ranking of them)
