Walden University Social Role Transitions & Life Events in Late Adulthood Discussion – Description

Late adulthood is a time of great change in social roles, transitions, and life events. These include movement into retirement, relocation, declines in health, and changes in social status and financial circumstances. Late adulthood may also be a time when social interaction and companionship decrease and a close family member or friend dies. Because of these life changes, many adults may experience issues with ego integrity versus ego despair.
For this Discussion, you analyze the major theoretical perspectives that have shaped development in the life course.
