Using the MS Access Database answer the following questions:
1. Of our customers in the consumer segment who placed orders in 2021, how much did Adrian Barton spend with us?
2: What was the Cost of goods sold for out mid market customers in the furniture category in March?
3: What is our year-on-year revenue growth percentage between May 2023 and May 2024?
Hint 1: You will need to do this in multiple steps isolating the information you need in queries before you query those queries to get your final answer.
HINT 2: We are working with a relational database. The “relationship” part of the relational database is the line that joins the tables together. When you start querying queries here, you might not get a line between your queries. You’ll need to manually relate your attributes together by dragging and dropping them on each other. When doing this, remember that lines means WHEN THE VALUES OF THESE RELATED ATTRIBUTES ARE THE SAME, KEEP THE DATA.
HINT 3: The basic formula for year-on-year growth is (current period – previous period) / previous period. I then use the property sheet and format it as a percentage. You need to enter your answer as a percentage. If your calculation comes up as 0.5623 you enter 56.23 NOT .5623. If you format as a percentage, you’ll get the 56.23 by default.
4. What was our gross profit from Alex Avila in November 2023?
5. What was our gross profit from Alex Grayson in April 2021?
6. Write a query that uses every field in every table, but make sure you DO NOT have duplicate columns (i.e., only have 1 customer number column). Also, go ahead and make a revenue attribute, a COGS attribute, a total costs attribute, a gross profit attribute, and a net profit attribute.
