Using PowerPoint explore if evidence-based practice (EBP) is fundamental to effective social work practice. In your presentation draw on relevant research and literature to describe EBP and explain the application of evidence-based practice (EBP) to social work. Make use of relevant literature to compare and contrast competing perspectives on EBP in social work. Identify some of the strengths and limitations of the evidence-based practice approach in social work.
For example, you can choose a specific field of Social Work practice, e.g. child abuse, alcohol use disorder, work with migrants and refugees, or adult safeguarding etc., how an EBP intervention would look like in your chosen field (check for existing EBP models), what are the benefits of using EBP in this particular field, and what are some possible challenges and constraints related to the implementation of EBP in approaching the issue at hand and working with service users (compare with other models/types of interventions in the field)? In what ways is EBP fundamental in social work practice in your selected field (and/or for social work practice more broadly)? Follow relevant lines of enquiry and use an appropriate referencing system to cite the source of your ideas remember to look at your audience and not to have too much information on your slides. Include a reference page to the end of your slides for the source of citations in your presentation.
