I’m working on a law discussion question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.
MNCs develop a code of ethics, which are a written statement as to the values and ethical standards the company uses to guide its decisions. For this discussion, research the code of ethics for an MNC or association that operates globally. Once you have identified the code, use your personal and/or professional experience to explain each. Here is an example from the Project Management Institute (PMI), to which I belong. The PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct is generally easy to understand as it is essentially about doing the right thing. Here they are:
Always tell the truth no matter the outcome.
Follow the laws of the country you are in.
Gifts and donations are not to be accepted unless it is a custom or a law of the country.
Conflicts of interest must be reported to higher management.
If you feel you might need to get permission to use something, get it, or don’t use it.
Any misrepresentation of PMI must be reported to PMI.
