University of North Carolina Wilmington English Creative Project – Description
For your creative project, you’ll be putting together a digital mini-anthology of myths and discussing the significance of each. You will offer short summaries and important takeaways for each myth, and include an explanation as to why each belongs in the anthology. You should also discuss how each text compares to the others included.
Your anthology should have some common thread that ties your chosen myths together. Perhaps each myth shares a similar theme or has similar story components. Feel free to be creative in your choices.
Your explanations should be 2-3 paragraphs for each text. Include images/visuals that you find to be appropriate as well. Your anthology should include a total of 4 myths.
You can be creative in the digital presentation of your anthology. You might choose to create a website, a video, or something else altogether. My recommendation is to begin by exploring Adobe Express, which you have access to through UNCW, which has options to create an easy webpage for video. https://spark.adobe.com/sp/creativecloud (Links to an external site.)
Note that if you use Adobe, you will need to click “publish” on your project before submitting it. Spend plenty of time becoming familiar with the platform as well.
If you prefer to use another tool, you are welcome to do so. Use a tool you are comfortable using.
Whatever you choose, your anthology should be detailed, focused, and should be presented with care and professionalism.
Deadline:
July 14th, 11:59pm Final Product Due
Your final product is due on this date. It’s preferred that you submit your project as a hyperlink, but you may also submit .doc, .docx, or .pdf attachments if necessary for your final product.
For each day that an assignment is late, the grade will be reduced by 5 points.
Late projects or projects that are unreadable, incorrectly submitted, etc. will be considered late until they are turned in correctly. It is your responsibility to double-check your upload to be sure that the proper file has been uploaded. You should also take care that submitted links are not password protected (particularly if you are using Google Docs or Adobe).
