UL USA Army Diversity and Inclusion Analysis Research Paper – Description
Product
As this project will be completed in phases, each of the components will build upon one another. The specific expectations for each phase are detailed below:
1. Identification of an organization: This section should contain background information including the organization’s industry, competitors, mission/vision, and its history and future state of diversity efforts. Recommended pages: 1-3
2. Data collection:
A. First, you will create a semi-structured interview protocol that will be utilized to gather data from your diversity experts. This interview protocol should follow good qualitative research practices (e.g. openended questions, flexibility, clarity).
B. Second, you will conduct and record (with permission) your two interviews (either in-person or via phone or other platform). Emailed or written interviews are not allowed. As a product, you will submit your notes taken during the interview.
C. Third, you will transcribe your two interviews verbatim. This should be in a double-spaced, editable word document that clearly identifies the interviewer and interviewee.
3. Data analysis: In this step, you will thematically code your interviews looking for key themes and will provide a written summary of your findings.
4. Providing recommendations: Using your interviews and other research, provide three recommendations to the organization.
5. Producing a sample intervention: Aside from your other recommendations, you will produce a potential training program that could be implemented in the organization to move it forward with regard to
diversity and inclusion.
