You manage the Arbor Grill, an on-campus eatery located just south west of the CSUN business school. You have recently been informed of the results of an employee survey which indicated that the engagement scores of your employees who work in the coffee shop are very low. Coffee shop employees are assigned to either work the cash register, take orders, give customers drinks/food that require little to no preparation (e.g., drip coffee) or work as a barista, responsible for food and drinks that require preparation (e.g., espresso drinks, sandwiches). All employees are paid minimum wage with no tips. What specific actions would you take in order to improve employee engagement?
