Look through the table of contents of the Global Gender Gap Report (2022
Specifically, choose one of the sections 1.1-2.9 to review/focus on
Look through the UN Foundations’ “50 of the World’s Most Sexist Laws, Policies, & Norm
I recommend skimming the whole thing as it is really informative, but there is a table of contents on page 1 if a particular section is of interest.
In a small paragraph (roughly 250 words) write and reflect on what you learned and noticed as you looked through your chosen selections, the data etc.
Which sections did you choose?
Does anything surprise you?
Can you envision solutions to address these issues?
To what extent is the law capable of creating equality, or fixing these issues?
Note anything else you think is pertinent.

Go exploring
Write out 5-7 products you use daily (think more like toiletries, cosmetics etc.)
Next: Choose 1 of the following
Search for your product and its gendered counterpart online. Notate the prices via a Word doc with screenshots or a list of the price differences written out.

FIELD TRIP–>Go to the store and take photos of the 5-7 products you chose, with the gendered items side-by-side to see the price differences.
Bonus: Notice items targeted towards youth, such as bandaids, medicine, shampoos etc. See are the options incredibly gendered and limited?
In a small paragraph (about 200 words), write and reflect on the following questions. Be sure to include your screenshots/ images as well:What did you notice regarding price differences?
Do you notice any gender-neutral options? Were any even available?
How do these options (or lack thereof) and price differences reinforce gender stereotypes and inequalities?
Are these price differences legal? Who benefits, and who pays the price? Other than gender discrimination, is there a logical reason why these prices might differ?
Write about anything else you think is pertinent.
