UC Counseling Children and Adolescents Toolkit Annotated Bibliography – Description

You will create a toolkit for future practice based on contemporary and evidence-based materials. This shared folder will include an annotated bibliography, and descriptive list of local, state, and national resources. Your folder should include 6 subfolders of topics. You may use the list provided on blackboard as a starting point, but are welcome to expand beyond this list. Eating Disorders, Aggression or Violence/Emotional Dysregulation, Grief and Loss, Anxiety (test-taking, generalized, social), Gender Identity,  Working with Transgender Youth,  Mood disorders (e.g. depression, bipolar), ADHD, sensory, learning disabilities, Physical or Sexual Abuse, Family Separation, Racial and Cultural Identity development, LGBTQ+ population, Gun Violence Trauma, Parental/Caregiver neglect, Substance Abuse, Suicide Prevention, Working with refugees or immigrants, Dating violence, Non-suicidal self-injury. Please choose 6 of these options.
Shared folder should include: 
Annotated bibliography with a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed articles. Start by finding counseling journals (i.e. Journal of Counseling & Development, Counselor Education and Supervision, Journal of Addictions & Offender Counseling, Professional School Counseling, Journal of School Counseling, Journal of Humanistic Counseling, Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development) If you are unable to find what you need there, look in reputable peer-reviewed journals in Human Development, Social Work, Psychology, Education. 
A list of 3-4 local state(Connecticut) resources and 3-4 national resources. Each resource should include: 
Primary purpose and/or mission of the organization 
Populations served 
List of services and programs provided   
Costs (free, sliding scale, set price, etc.) 
Contact information (website, email, phone, social media, etc.
