Example Experiment: The manager at a local movie theater is interested in studying whether a promotion for one free small popcorn will increase the sales of other concession stand items. The promotion will last through the month of July and customers who spend $15 or more on beverages or candy will receive one free small popcorn. At the end of the month, the manager will compare concession stand sales before the promotion and after the month concludes.
