TTU Figma Prototype For TWU Mobile App Project – Description

use Figma with either Google’s Material design or Apple’s Human Interface guidelines to develop a prototype for the University, “Texas Women’s University” mobile app.
Objective:
The objective of this assignment is to design a mobile interface prototype using Figma for a specific to Texas Women’s University. You will follow either the Apple Human Interface Guidelines or the Google Material 3 Guidelines to create a visually appealing and user-friendly mobile interface.
Instructions:

Research and Understand the Guidelines:

Choose either the Apple Human Interface Guidelines (for iOS) or the Google Material 3 Guidelines (for Android) to follow for your mobile interface design.
Familiarize yourself with the selected guidelines (you will find the links above) to understand the design principles, patterns, and components recommended by the platform.

Define Design Goals and Target Audience:

Consider the target audience (TWU students, faculty, and staff) and their preferences, needs, and expectations when it comes to exploring and interacting with TWU on a mobile device.
Clearly define the goals and objectives of your mobile interface design for the topic.

Create Wireframes and Design Elements:

Use the chosen platform’s design guidelines to determine the layout, navigation, and interaction patterns for each screen.
Design UI elements such as buttons, icons, typography, and color schemes in alignment with the selected guidelines.
Begin by creating wireframes for the key screens and user flows of your mobile interface prototype.

Develop the Mobile Interface Prototype:

Utilize Figma to bring your wireframes and design elements together to create a fully interactive mobile interface prototype.
Pay attention to the details, ensuring that your prototype adheres to the chosen design guidelines and offers a smooth and intuitive user experience.
Include multiple screens (at least 3), transitions, and interactive elements to showcase the functionality of your mobile interface.

You must produce content. Image only backgrounds do not count as a screen.
a Splash/loading screen does not count as an activity screen.
A log on screen does not count as an activity screen.
For this project you do not need to create or program any secure login, but you may want to create a screen for what a user might see after a authentication secure login.

Test and Iterate:

Test your mobile interface prototype to gather feedback on its usability, visual appeal, and overall user experience.
Make iterative improvements based on usability testing, ensuring that your design effectively communicates the content related to the assigned food topic.

Submission:

Export your mobile interface prototype from Figma in a suitable format (e.g., interactive prototype link/Dev mode).
Create a brief explanation of your design decisions, specifically highlighting how you followed the chosen platform’s guidelines and addressed the needs of the target audience.
