The presentation should be 5-8 minutes.
This assignment asks you to demonstrate your understanding of course concepts by pointing out examples of interpersonal interactions from a movie.
Select a movie–not animated films or sci-fi. Find a movie that has real people interacting.
Choose three chapters from your text to draw material from to demonstrate your concepts. Once you choose the chapters go to this document to find some specific concepts that you will use in your presentation. Do NOT just apply a chapter title/concept such as “perception” or “emotions”. Dig into the chapter for specific concepts.
There is a list of concepts can choose from.
The goal is to have some depth. For each chapter a minimum of two specific concepts must be chosen. You may choose more than two.
You will find examples of each concept in the movie. You may find more than one example of a given concept.
The presentation should begin with a very brief introduction telling us which movie you chose and the general plot of the movie. Then give us a statement of which concepts you are discussing.
As you begin give us a brief definition of the concept (assume we are familiar and do not dwell here; a brief statement is all we need). Then explain the interaction you observed and point out how the interaction demonstrates the concept chosen.
You may have a single video clip (no more than a minute or so) to demonstrate one of your concepts (sometimes a single clip will demonstrate more than one; you can reference back to it). The other concepts you will simply describe the interaction in the movie to us and point out how it shows a concept.
