Assignment:
This essay develops a conversation between sources and your own experience. Although this essay requires sources, strive for balance between your voice and the source (s) you choose. Your experiences are important to the conversation, so be mindful and deliberate in balancing voices.
Requirements:
1. Revisit the texts from class and chose one or two that speak to an aspect of storytelling that that either resonates with your experience or that you find interesting.
2.Thesis: Do not worry about developing a thesis from the beginning of the essay. Allow it to evolve as you write the essay. Your final essay draft will develop your thesis/purpose using sources and personal experience.
3. Incorporate quotes from at least one text from class. (Using outside sources other than class texts) earn a failing grade.
4.Use your own experiences to explain, illustrate, expand, etc. your purpose. There should be a balance between personal anecdote and sources.
5.There should be a minimum of 2 revisions.
6. Length: 5-6 pages + Works Cited = 6-7 pages (Refer to Purdue OWL)
