John Adams famously said of the U.S. Constitution, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the governing of any other.” In Economics, perfect markets are the ideal in a capitalistic economy, but they do not exist. Instead, we have various imperfectly competitive market types, which lead to excessive profits.
Write a 2 to 3 page paper discussing whether or not John Adams might have had the same opinion of capitalism as he did of the U.S. Constitution and why you think that. The paper should include at least two relevant scripture references from the Bible’s viewpoint. At least two academic sources should be cited in addition to the books by Stapleford or Sowell. At least three sources should be included. The writing should be formal, with no slang, abbreviations, contractions, etc., and use the APA 7e style. A paper exhibiting poor grammar can receive a failing grade regardless of the quality of the content.
