Terror Management Theory Discussion – Description
For your initial post, Terror Management Theory (TMT) suggests that self-esteem helps to buffer the anxiety we feel over our own mortality. When people are reminded of their own mortality, they tend to defend their culture’s view more strongly and to distrust “outsiders” who don’t share their views.
