Find an example from your personal experience or from a Google search that demonstrates website usability issues (problems that need(ed) to be fixed)! EMERALD-Website usability testing is how users interact with websites; it is important because it gives feedback on website changes that need to be made for a business. Companies want to make sure that their websites are user friendly and easy to navigate. Websites are a big asset to a company so making sure it is simple and easy to use is important. Customers always give feedback on how easy your website is accessible on their computer, phones, tablets and more and it is important to take those into consideration when updating and making changes to your website. The company that I work for right now had a website when I first started that was complicated to navigate to go to our pricing menu for each of our locations and also was hard to navigate on the phone version of our website. I used to listen to customers complain about coming in because they thought our prices where different based off how they showed up on the website on your phone. I then looked into a new website program and suggested it to management, we worked through setting up a new website and got it published so that it is informational but quick and easy to use. TYLER-Website usability testing is a way of evaluating how target users are using a website. It is important because it shows how customers/ user are using the site to better help see what is working and what is not. Furthermore, usability shows if a site is user friendly, meaning it is easy to navigate. For example, making the buy now button easy to find or being able to check what is in your cart to see what you have selected etc. if not user friendly then people will leave and go to a competitor’s site.a Google search that demonstrates website usability issues Inconsistency: the layout, the design, the buttons, and headers need to be placed in the right place. Stopping users from going backward. Too high number of submenus. Links opening in new windows. Unstructured sitemap (ZAPPA, 2019). I agree with Zappa if the website is not clean and simple it’s going to make me want to look else just for my convenience. We live in a world to today based around what is convenient for the consumer. Just look at Amazon, people want Amazon experiences when they shop.ZAPPA, LETIZIA. “Website Usability: Common Usability Issues: Examples: Testing and Benefits.” UserReport, 27 Mar. 2019, www.userreport.com/blog/website-usability/#:~:text…
