SRST 450 GMU Social Medias Sports Industry Influence Literature Review – Description
My topic is : The rise of social media in sports, helping or hurting?
My stance on this topic is that it’s helping a lot.
Literature Review – A thorough presentation of the materials you have accumulated to support your topic. Think of this as a series of “mini papers” that come together to form a whole. For instance, if your overall topic is sustainable tourism, you could break it into 3 core themes (1) Economic Sustainability, (2) Environmental Sustainability, and (3) Social/Cultural Sustainability. You would then write approximately 3-4 pages on each of these areas and present them as a whole. Each area should include multiple articles that are integrated to demonstrate that you are knowledgeable of what literature exists in relation to your topic. Lastly, 3 themes is not a magic number. You may have 5 or 2 or whatever. Just make sure that you are working towards your minimum target of 3,500 words (parts 1 and 2 combined).
Conceptual Model or Theoretical Framework – Each proposal should be driven by some form of conceptual model or theoretical framework. These are oftentimes presented in a visual manner (see the samples under the Course Content tab). These can also help you determine what your core themes are.
Synthesis of the Literature – A summary of the key points presented throughout the literature review. Generally speaking, each core theme would be summarized in 1-2 paragraphs.
Overall, this assignment generally ranges between 12 and 15 pages in length.
Below I’ve attached the background & overview, topic development, conceptual model powerpoint and a full sample paper.
There are 5 sources in the topic development word document. I need you to use those and also find about 8 more using Google Scholar. Please include a few graphs to help prove the success and why the rise of social media in sports is a good thing and why it’s helping.
