SDSU A Documentary about Poverty Housing and Living Conditions Analysis – Description
Each student will select a documentary or film that involves the intersectionality of poverty, housing, and living conditions in the US or internationally (e.g., China, Brazil, India, etc.). The video should be at least 45 minutes long. Each student will then write a 5-page reflection paper and guided questions posed:
Provide background context and justify why you selected the documentary or film.
How does the documentary or film attempt to characterize poverty and housing or living conditions in that area?
Leveraging the concepts learned in the course, list two distinct concepts and explain how they help inform your understanding of film or documentary
Provide a concluding personal reflection on the documentary/film.
