Robert Morris University Terrorism in Perspective Discussion – Question Description
I’m working on a criminal justice discussion question and need guidance to help me learn.
First discussion
Although a VERY brief review of the history of terrorism is provided in this class, understanding history is thought necessary to evolve into a better future. Why do you think it would be important, or very important, to understand some history of terrorism globally, and in the US specifically? What does history provide that we might need?
Second discussion
Review various websites (be conscious of bias) to gain factual information about COVID. Discuss one FACT now know about COVID. Something that is interesting and could be relevant to our discussion of terrorism. Also address something we may not know a lot about in protecting people from COVID…within US or globally.
For example, I have learned that people who were vaccinated were more likely to die from COVID. This has been found globally and in the US. Reports from the pharmaceutical companies and government agencies are now reporting this fact. What I think is still missing is if this virus was released on purpose to impact the US 2020 election or if it was an accident. I think this would be important to know as other countries and terrorists groups could view this as a new tactic against the US or other countries. If the US govt was involved, it may signal to terrorist groups that the US is ‘weak’ since it released a virus on its own citizens.
