Develop a “realistic” strategy, i.e., case plan for Gabriel in the form of
a memo to your supervisor. Based on the information provided in the documentary, prior to
Gabriel’s untimely death, what needed to be done to prevent his untimely demise and why?
Utilizing your resources, outline at least 1 risk factor Gabriel had present that made him
susceptible to being victimized.
Create a memo to your supervisor summarizing the risk factor you selected along with any
other issues of concern that are prominent in your client, Gabriel. You should use at least one
article to explain each risk factor and at least one article or source for your recommended
course of action.
Your memo needs to follow the following format:
1. Introductory paragraph- provide a summary of Gabriel and his case and life
history (include information about Gabriel, guardians, siblings, other family (if
any), school, recreation, health, etc.- provide as much information as provided in
the documentary to help one know who Gabriel is and the challenges he faces)
2. List and summarize at least 1 risk factor Gabriel presents that makes him
susceptible to being victimized and provide research about each risk factor.
3. Recommendation: Based on your research what is the best course of action- i.e.,
foster home, placement with a family member, justify your recommendation.
