Topic: Applied Sports Biomechanics
Identify and apply various methodological approaches to bio-mechanical data collection; including critical analysis of various data processing, filtering and analysis procedures.
Abstract: (200 words)
The abstract should include the same sections as the overall article (introduction, case study description, methods, results, discussion and evaluation, conclusion) although you do not need to include headings in the abstract
Introduction (300 words)
The introduction should provide the reader with an overview of the study in general. It should describe the rationale for undertaking the case study.
The aims of the case study should be reported, including a description of the scenario and the goals or objectives of the assessment
Methods (800 words)
Include a statement in this section that informed consent was obtained. Describe all equipment and procedures (as per your protocol presentation) and including all your data processing and analysis procedures.
Results (800 words)
The main findings of the biomechanical assessment case study should be detailed in a concise manner.You should include Tables and/or Figures where appropriate.Statistics: it may or may not be appropriate to include statistical analysis in your case study, this is dependent on the aim, content and data analysis. If it is not appropriate to include statistics and you justify this in your case study you will not be marked down if you do not include statistics.
Discussion (800 words)
Recommendations should be discussed with references to the literature to support what was done. A brief description of the practical recommendations established from the results of your assessment.Describe the pros and cons of the assessment that was undertaken. You should remember that the case study is a reasoned article rather than purely factual.
Conclusions (200 words)
This should state how/if you have addressed your original aim and report your key findings.
