PROJ 610 IWU The Impact Effort Matrix – Description
Introduction to Project Management
Getting Started
Throughout this course, you will have the opportunity to apply project management concepts to an integrative project. In this workshop, you will submit an overview of your project priorities in the form of a project priority matrix. These priorities will be based upon your stakeholder analysis from the previous workshop and will consider the project management triple constraint of scope, time, and cost.
Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:
Develop a project priority matrix.
Evaluate the triple constraint faced by project managers while balancing project priorities.

Background Information
Now that you have a solid comprehension of the competing triple constraint that project managers must balance, you will create a project priority matrix for your integrative project. When considering your priorities of time, cost, and scope, you must decide which you will be constrained to—that is, which will be the factor you will have the least flexibility to accommodate changes to. You will also consider which you would enhance (or make better, if possible) and which you will accept (the factor with the least amount of priority, accepting any adjustments as needed to meet other priorities).
Once you have created a visualization of your priorities in a matrix (table), you will also include a brief written explanation of how your stakeholder analysis, industry, or type of project you are completing has influenced the project priorities. Finally, explain how your ability as a project manager to balance these competing constraints may impact the project’s success.

Performance (Scope)
Explain why you are going to accept, enhance, or constrain each project criterion of the triple constraint for your project:
Formulate priorities based on your stakeholder analysis and any applicable knowledge of the industry or type of project selected. Include a brief written analysis of how your project priorities were shaped by these factors and how your ability, as a project manager, to balance these competing constraints may impact the project’s success.
