PRCC Village Food in Rural West Africa Discussion – Description
Mark Wiens is simply one of the best English-language food bloggers there is. He is an American with Thai heritage, living in Thailand with his wife and child (whom you’ll see in this video), and vlogging especially about foods in Southeast Asia.
In this video, however, Wiens and his family visit a rural area of Ghana, in West Africa, to sample village food there.
For this extra credit DB, you can talk about anything you’ve seen – the food itself, how it’s prepared, the people he encounters, or the location he visits. You’ll see reference to the cacao bean pods we mention in this week’s lecture, as well as a mention of the palm oil we referenced in last week’s lecture about Southeast Asia. It’s a longer video than I usually ask you to watch, which is why it’s for extra credit. Please watch the *entire* video, and prove it in your comments. Enjoy!
