Purpose
The purpose of the final assessment is to provide students with the opportunity to apply theory to real-life evaluation practice. Students will benefit from developing and consolidating their knowledge and skills in designing and implementing an evaluation project for community service or a health promotion program. Students will also be able to develop their presentation and public speaking skills. The assessment addresses learning outcomes 3,4 &5.
Description
This is an individual assessment. Students are required to make a poster presentation and submit a final written proposal.
Instructions
Identify and choose a community service of interest for evaluation.
Prepare an evaluation proposal.
Prepare a poster presentation from your proposal.
Make an oral poster presentation and receive feedback.
Use the feedback to prepare a final written evaluation proposal of 1500 words.
The poster and the written evaluation proposal must demonstrate the following answers:
Poster and presentation quality
Poster quality: The poster details capture vital information about the evaluation. All graphics relate to the topic and make it easier to understand. The information is very organized, with clear titles and subheadings. All information on the poster can be easily viewed and identified from at least 6 feet away.
Presentation quality: The presentation was of the appropriate length. The presenter articulated clearly and distinctly, establishing unwavering eye contact with the audience.
