1- Keep record of your answers and where you find the information. You must use information sources that have an .edu, .gov, or a .ky.us extension.
Who is the mayor of Richmond? What is he responsible for?
Who is the city manager of Richmond? What is he responsible for?
Who is the Madison County judge executive? What is he responsible for?
What is the difference between the government of Richmond and the government of Madison County? How are the two governments structured?
When is the next regular (not workshop) meeting of the Richmond City Commissioners?
Who are the Richmond City Commissioners?
Find the agenda for tonight’s Richmond Board of Commissioners meeting. What is an ordinance? What does second reading mean?
2- Find the agenda for the Feb. 14 meeting. Listen to the City Commission meeting portion and take excellent notes. Write a one paragraph executive summary of what you hear.

City Commission Minutes
Watch the June 13 Richmond City Commission Meeting and take minutes following the model from previous meetings. Include attendance, votes, and at least a paragraph each describing the major issues, including police officer promotion, budget approval, Section 8 housing, annexation of land into the city. In addition, you want to identify major issues from the Public Comments, City Manager’s Report and other relevant items.
