Scenario
Metropolitan Memorial is a large healthcare organization in a major city. The hospital has been providing medical care to the patrons of the state for 10 years but recently has noticed that the competition has been affecting its financial growth. The board that governs over the hospital has decided that they would like to expand their patient niche into the rural portions of the state. The CEO of Metropolitan Memorial has made you the team leader of the group in charge of analyzing the financial and economic impact of the expansion.
Instructions
Before initiating the plans for expansion, the CEO has requested you complete a project proposal using presentation software such as PowerPoint using speaker notes for each slide for voiceover narration. DO NOT OVER POWER THE SLIDE – MOST OF THE INFORMATION SHOULD BE IN THE SPEAKER NOTES.
Your presentations should addresses the following key points:
Examine an international market in which expanding coverage of care yielded a positive economic impact. Pick a country and Include 3 examples for supporting details
Identify an appropriate healthcare delivery model for the expansion of care. -Include 3 examples for supporting details

#3 – Pre sentation included comprehensive speaker notes or narration. **Or Both – Comprehensive means that someone else can take your presentation and use those speaker notes to completely present the information in a way that an audience can understand and comprehend easily – if you are doing a voiceover, it means you are FULLY explaining the bullet points on the slides

Do I need in-text citations in a PPT in a graduate program since we must follow APA style?
YES!
Does APA tell us where to put them?
Unfortunately, no, but don’t worry I will give you a couple of common sense options!
Option 1: This is my preferred option – Add at least 1 in-text citation on each slide of content in the lower right-hand corner. This will let your audience know (and better yet your assessment faculty) that your content is connected to evidence and therefore is scholarly
· As long as they are in parenthesis, you can add them however you would like
· i.e. (Ide, 2023), (CDC, 2024), (IHI, 2021) or (Ide, 2023);(CDC, 2024);(IHI, 2021)
Option #2: Alternatively, but in a more repetitive way, you can add a in-text citation to EACH bullet point you have on each slide, but considering you would want to have at least 1 in-text citation on each bullet point to prove it is evidence-based and that may be the same one, that can get repetitive and messy, but it whatever you prefer!
Do I need a in-text citation on title slides, reference slides or Content slides?
No
Do I need a reference page?
YES! In APA style
What is the easiest way to get my APA reference slide formatted correctly?
I would complete it in WORD and then just paste it as a picture on that last references slide – this is because sometimes the formatting of the template in PPT will change your slide and add bullet points etc., and that will change your perfect formatting, if you complete in Word and add as a picture, it can’t do that!
