Throughout this course, you will be provided with many opportunities to synthesize the project management theories and practices you have learned about and apply them to a specific business scenario or challenge. These cases also will require you to reflect on your experiences that are relevant to project management competencies and processes. In this workshop, you will submit a brief analysis of a case scenario for a project manager who must consider an important input to the project charter development: the business case.
Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:
Examine project charter inputs such as the business case and statement of work.
Outline the components of and purpose for the charter.
Develop a project charter.

Background Information
Now that you have examined the significance of a business case, an important input to the project charter development process, you will reflect on a specific project scenario that requires you to apply the project management concepts and best practices you have learned about in this workshop. Submit a brief analysis of the company’s current project opportunities described in the scenario and how the company may utilize a project (or projects) to either meet business needs or solve business problems. Discuss the justification of organizational time and resources for the project, outline the project objectives, and make the case for how the proposed project will enable the organization’s long-term strategic goals.

Background information and context:
Assume that you have been promoted again at CafeLatte, the company referenced in assignment 2.3, 3.3, 4.3 and 5.3.
Your job is now to lead the Project Management Office (PMO), and establish consistent standards for starting all new projects.
Assume that you need to document the following:
How to structure a kick-off meeting.
What should be included in a project charter
How to complete this assignment:
Write a memo to the team of project managers you now lead and describe the practices you are implementing for launching all new projects.
Your submission should be a minimum of 350 words.
