Detailed Instructions:
You are an sustainability specialist. A local government hired you to provide some advice on data collection to address an acute sustainability issue in one of its communities. You decided that ‘citizen science’ would satisfy most of the immediate needs of this selected community. Having said that, provide your client (the local government) with a ‘citizen science project plan’ to help them address this acute sustainability issue
While working on this document, make sure you i) pick a SDG; ii) select a target; iii) identify an indicator (discuss the reliability and validity of this indicator); iv) provide practical recommendations when it comes to the selection of a ‘suitable’ community for data collection.
The ‘project plan’ you are delivering to the local government should have the following structure:
i) What is the scope of this sustainability problem? (Scope)
ii) What are the key components of this project? (Design)
iii) How should the local government select potential partners? (Community)
iv) What type of data will this project be collecting and more importantly — how? (Data)
v) How should the local government sustain and improve this project over time? (Sustain & Improve)
