As a junior in computer science interested in Artificial Intelligence or AI, Machine Learning or ML, and full-stack development, it is essential to have a plan to keep up with the updates and modifications, mostly due to their commonness. Some of the factors included in my focus for professional development include attending workshops or conferences related to the field, joining communities and being an active member in those, taking online courses to have a high-level understanding of the latest changes, and reading blogs or listening to podcasts; these resources should help me stay updated with industry trends and gain relevant skills in all fields of interests.
As I mentioned before, my predominant goal is to focus on AI and ML. To specifically keep up with Artificial Intelligence, it is crucial to stay up to date with research and Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning developments, this can be done by reading newspapers and research journals from trusted sources, as well as attending or watching conferences.
In addition to keeping up with the latest technologies, it is essential to know how to apply AI and ML updates or the latest techniques in real life. After doing this, one should learn how to incorporate AI and ML techniques into real-world problems; this is tightly related to having a reasonable understanding of different algorithms, data preprocessing, and being familiar with well-known frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Moreover, having a substantial foundation in mathematics and statistics is necessary to comprehend the theoretical grounds of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms.
In general, as a computer science student with an interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and full-stack development, there are many strategies to stay up-to-date in the industry. It’s vital to make professional development a priority and look for new learning opportunities to acquire valuable skills and knowledge.

As an individual pursuing a software developer career, I understand the critical importance of continuous professional development to keep up with the ever-evolving technology landscape. Therefore, to ensure my growth and stay relevant in my career, I have devised a comprehensive plan for professional development.
Firstly, I prioritize staying updated with industry trends, programming languages, and frameworks. This involves dedicating time to reading technical books, following influential software development blogs, and subscribing to newsletters that provide insights into emerging technologies (Duggan, 2019). Further, I actively participate in developer communities and attend industry conferences and meetups. Engaging with fellow developers exposes me to different perspectives and provides networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities (Börger et al., 2020). To gain hands-on experience with new technologies, I work on personal projects and side ventures outside of my regular job. These projects allow me to experiment, explore new tools, and broaden my skill set. They also provide a platform to showcase my abilities and enhance my portfolio (Duggan, 2019). To accomplish something and delve deeper into specific areas of interest, I pursue online courses and tutorials, both free and paid. These resources help me acquire in-depth knowledge and expertise in specialized domains, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, or mobile app development (Plaza et al., 2019).
