Key concepts: Human/Non-human, ethics, nature/culture, artificiality, and realness
We continue our journey into perception and ways of comprehending sentiency across cultures. Expanding upon notions of place and space, we embark on a discussion of nature and culture, human and non-human. This will introduce you to the environmental humanities, ecofeminism and kincentricity as a cultural impulse for organizing the world. Not all cultures separate nature/culture in the same way, and as technology rapidly changes the way we human, we must ask ourselves where does the line fall between us/them, human/non-human actually fall and will these distinctions always hold.
