Objective:
This assignment is designed to showcase your ability to research different types of organizations that Special Operations Forces (SOF) and/or the Department of Defense (DOD) might work or interact with. You will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of SOF or the DOD focusing on a Unity of Effort when working with different types of organizations. You can utilize past experiences and any historical subject matter to validate the submitted information.
Note: Understanding that each type of organization has a mission, vision, and purpose is important, but being able to further use this information to synchronize efforts toward Unity of Effort, or cooperation, to accomplish a higher purpose, is even more important. This higher purpose should always support the organizational mission but ultimately support the goals set by the United States National Security Strategy.
