Purpose
This assignment explores the world of text and typography in interface design. You will design a webpage and write about how you did it to prove your understanding of these concepts.
Assignment Instructions
You will design a webpage to showcase your brand. You will start by using a blank PowerPoint slide or Visio® to create the webpage to showcase your brand. Your page should have a paragraph about who you are and what you want people to know about you.
Your page needs to include the following elements:
Two or more different fonts
Two or more graphic elements
Three or more colors
Two or more headings/subheadings
One or more typography elements:
Tracking
Widow
Orphan
Anti-aliasing
Write a 1-page paper, or present the information on the next few slides, explaining the following:
State the purpose of the page (supplement a resume, highlight a hobby, etc.).
Why did you choose the colors you did, and how do they enhance the page?
Why did you choose the graphics you chose, and how do they enhance the page or support your message?
Which typography element(s) did you use and why?
What draws your readers to your page? What makes them want to read it?
What are some ways you accommodate users with disabilities on your site?
