Introduction
The focus of this unit will be the development of the staffing required to accomplish organizational goals. The lessons in this unit concentrate on recruiting and retaining talent (Talent Management). Key concepts will include the ability to analyze organizational personnel needs and actions to achieve staffing objectives.

Unit 3: Current Event Exercise
Introduction
The purpose of the HR current event exercise is to analyze the student’s articulation of key HR activities (CLOs/ULOs). The project is due on Sunday of each of the following units: 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Directions
Each student develops a presentation (Power Point Presentation). The presentation will
summarize the HR business case of a current event. The current event must include a
link between an organization’s use of HR management (HRM) and HR development
(HRD) to enhance organization return on the organization’s investment in people.
