Sleep apnea affects which populations and what are the true affects of living with this condition.
Dr. J comments:Your thoughts are a good start. When you do a preliminary review of the literature you are likely to identify what has already been done and is well known. Avoid what most authors are saying as a topic. You might help inform your topic by your own experiences and then figure out what authors haven’t tackled that could help individuals with sleep apnea—possible: diagnoses issues, treatment issues, sleep deprivation or what creates risks—if their sleep apnea makes them more accident prone. Are there sub-populations that are more affected than others—in my past, I ran bariatric programs and individuals who were identified as severely overweight, were often diagnosed with sleep apnea.
I am just brainstorming with you—take it in the direction that aligns with your interests.
