Grand Canyon University ECE 450: Music Integrated Lesson Plan – Description
Integrating the creative arts into instruction is a strategy that can be engaging and motivating for young children. Music can be used as an engagement technique or a part of the instruction to help differentiate the learning. Singing, instruments, or listening to music are just a few suggestions of how to integrate music into a lesson plan.
Use the “COE Lesson Plan Template” and one or more literacy standard and objective from your unit outline in Topic 3 to create a lesson plan for your field experience classroom.
The lesson plan must:
Include clear objectives that align with the selected standards.
Integrate literacy and music to increase engagement.
Use various teaching strategies to increase engagement and learning.
Include developmentally appropriate interactive technology to enhance learning.
Include formative and summative assessments that are aligned to the selected standards to provide feedback throughout the lesson and assess student learning of the standards/objectives.
Support your lesson plan with a minimum of two scholarly resources.
