Students will submit a 500-word paper on public opinion and the media. You must use one outside source to support some of your claims. Answer the following questions:
(125 words) What Is Public Opinion? Does public opinion matter to government? Why or why not? Pull this definition from the textbook. The textbook will also have information to help you answer the second question, but then I really want you to think long and hard about the why question. Give me your take.
(125 words) What is political socialization? Describe it. Do you think that political socialization is real? Why or why not? This is in the textbook.
(250 words) Think about the video posted. Is the media biased? You will spend 125 words telling me why you think it might be. You will spend another 125 words telling me why you think it might not be. Here, I want you to pull in an outside source to support at least one of your claims. Make it an academic source, cite the information directly in your paper (i.e. Fuentes, 2022), and cite the source at the end of your paper (include the author, year, title of article or report, and the website). Finally give me two sentences on your where you opinion falls on media bias and why.
