Consider that you are a terrorism subject matter expert in your community, and your expertise has been requested to present a briefing covering the global and domestic terrorism threat for your state (Georgia) The PowerPoint presentation should cover the following items:
Title/Introduction slide
What are the most significant international and domestic terrorist threats facing the United States? (1-2 slides)
Briefly describe the Islamic State, its goals, and intent, and does the organization pose an immediate threat to the United States? (1-2 slides)
Are there any dissident or state-sponsored terrorist organizations that pose a threat to your community? If so, who are they, and why. If none, name 2-3 as examples to show your audience. (1-2 slides)
Have these groups, individuals, or sponsors used technology to do the following:
Recruit
Radicalize
Spread misinformation, disinformation, or propaganda?
Conduct cyber-attacks or hacking?
Explain what your community needs to know about these individuals or groups and how they can recognize such activities. (2-3 slides)
How have groups used cyber-space to conduct their activities (1-2 slides)
Questions slide (does not count towards slide count)
Reference slide (APA formatting)
Your completed presentation should be at least ten slides, not counting the title and reference slides.
While you may utilize some images, the bulk of the presentation must be in accordance with a bulletized presentation slide and the Notes, where your complete narrative is written in text with APA citation. Be sure to utilize at least two outside sources to support your evidence and examples. Adhere to APA Style for citations and references.
