Assignment Task
Each LLM student is required to write a dissertation for the successful completion of the LLM programme. The choice of topic and title of the dissertation will be subject to the approval of the Dissertation Committee of the Centre of Post Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS) and the availability of appropriate supervision.
One Year LLM
The length of Dissertations will be expected to be of between 8,000 and 10,000 words (including footnotes, but excluding bibliography) and should be submitted by the end of the academic year in June, 2022. The dissertation accounts for 3 credits and should generally reflect a critical analysis of available literature in a particular area of law, alongside an investigation of a legal issue or problem through a set of carefully framed research questions.
