DPU The Lack of International Cooperation Among Nations Discussion – Question Description
I’m working on a management discussion question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.
In 2015, there was optimism about the eradication of hunger as most countries had met the Millennium Development Goal of halving the proportion of hungry persons. However, within three years, the number of undernourished people has increased and the world is witnessing a reemergence of this issue (Chakrabarty, 2018).
Your task:
a) Do you agree with Chakrabarty’s categorization of world hunger today?
b) Whether you agree or not, how best can this (Zero Hunger Goal) be tackled/addressed beyond the UN’s declaration of the Sustainable Development Goals?
c) In your opinion, are conflicts and climate induced droughts in vulnerable regions the most plausible explanations for continued world hunger?
