Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Mental health has witnessed increasing numbers of people experiencing anxiety, depression, psychosis, loneliness, and other mental health concerns. Covid 19 was a worldwide epidemic witnessed by the world and the impact on the mental health of population remains to date especially amongst the teens today . COVID-19 has had a profound negative effect on the mental health of the nation. This topic interests me till date because its impact can still be felt amongst teenagers who missed out on the some of the most important years of growth.
I used CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) and Ebsco to search for my article. I did not encounter any challenges when I accessed the article via the University of Walden library. I used key words such as mental health, mental illness, mental disorder, psychiatric illness, anxiety, depression, COVID 19, coronavirus, 2019-ncov, sars-cov-2, cov-19, adolescent, teenagers and had no difficulty accessing and narrowing down on my search.
I really liked both databases they provided me with most information . The EBSCOhost interface provides access to a range of databases, e-journals and e- books. The databases are particularly useful for identifying journal articles and other publications on a particular topic within the subject areas covered by each database. You can also search across more than one database at a time.
I would recommend both as they are both valuable resources for conducting literature searches, but they serve different purposes. CINAHL – It focuses on nursing and allied health literature, including topics related to patient care, nursing practice, and healthcare delivery. MEDLINE is more broadly applicable and is commonly used by medical professionals, researchers, and clinicians MEDLINE includes articles from prestigious medical journals, clinical trials, case reports, and systematic reviews
