CUNY Lehman College Running Records – Description
Running Record and Analysis 5 pointsYou will score a running record to assess the literacy skills of a K-2 student. While watching the video of the child reading, you will need to use the coding system used for running records to mark the child’s errors and self-corrections on the text provided. When scoring, please make sure to include the error rate, accuracy rate, self correction rate, and what level text it is for the child. In addition, you will need to provide a miscue analysis using the three cueing systems for each error made. Based on the information gleaned from the running record analysis, write a 1-2 paragraph summary of the reader’s strengths and weaknesses, and at least two skills or strategies that the child needs instruction in.
