Students are required to demonstrate their understanding of both supervision models (Morton-
Cooper & Palmer and Kadushin) by applying relevant theory from these models to one of the
four provided case studies. This assignment requires students to critically analyse the case
study, justify how theory from each model can address the issues presented, and provide
practical applications of the models in supervision.
Students must analyse the case study from both perspectives:
- As a supervisor: Describe how you would apply relevant theory from each supervision
model to address the issues presented in the case. Outline practical strategies and steps
you would take, drawing on the relevant principles of both models. - As the worker: Reflect on how relevant theory from each supervision model would
impact you if you were in the worker’s position. Discuss how the approaches could
support your professional growth and address the challenges you face.
‘You must use the current APA referencing. Your report should include reference to the weekly
readings and at least 10 (scholarly) journal articles read, in addition to any textbook
references. The format of your essay will be discussed in greater detail during tutorials.
